This one-day event is intended to celebrate the African-American Cultural Celebration of Kwanzaa. Its goal is to educate the community, and engage youth in culturally relevant traditions. We are also fundraising for Tamu Sana Kanyama Preparatory Academy - an Independent High School dedicated to inspiring a commitment to scholarship, family, and community while maintaining a standard of excellence manifested through academics, creative arts and media technology.

Annual Kwanzaa Event

Our theme is a Winter Wonderland and we’ll have smores, hot chocolate, hot cider, guest speakers, storytellers, drummers, and more!

We’re expecting more than 100 event attendees comprised of students, parents and educational leaders who care about community building and preserving culture; and we’ll reach at least 350 more supporters across all social media channels.

We're fundraising in support of our annual Kwanzaa Celebration. During this event we engage youth and educate the community through storytelling, group discussions, live dance, and African drumming.

Kwanzaa Event 2021 $ 3,200 annual program cost
$32 per participant (100 participants)

Tuition Shortfalls $ 136,000 annual program cost
$8,000 per student per year (21 full and part-time students)
Tamu Sana Kanyama Preparatory Academy of Creative Arts and Media Technology is an independent fully accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.
